Primary Integration Programme.

Rationale.

As an Integrated College we feel it is important that we promote integration not only within the College but also in the wider community.

We propose to work with local primary schools during this school year offering them a number of activities including: inter-schools sports competitions; festivals; art workshops on the theme of diversity and workshops. A total of twenty two local schools from the College’s catchment area will be invited to participate in the programme throughout the school year.

Our goals are to;

  • Develop strong links with the feeder schools;
    Promote the College’s profile in the community;
    Provide opportunities for pupils to develop their skills and participate in sporting and cultural events;
    Provide opportunities for p6 & p7 pupils to come together to participate in a child friendly environment;
    Develop opportunities for new friendships.
