GCSE Technology & Design Examining Board

Ever been interested in electronics and designing the next big thing? If so, maybe you should consider taking on a diverse and interesting subject like Design and Technology. This course encourages you to design and make quality electronic products with creativity, originality and flair using a wide range of electronic components, new technologies and modern electronic devices.

The course will involve you in a project to make an electronic circuit, using a range of resistant materials, textiles, card or recycled materials to create your own unique design.

Single tiered assessment
Assessment will be by an examination at the end of Year 12 with a project assessing the complexities, presentation and skills which you have completed.  Grades A*–G are attainable so the course caters for students of all abilities.

Content

Students who like working with their hands and have a good sense of logic and the right skill set to take on this challenge will find this course very rewarding. It could even be the first step to becoming an electrical engineer, electrician or computer aided designer.
