Congratulations are due to Blackwater student Darrol McCauley on receiving an award to mark his contribution to the “Dealing With Difference” community relations project, co-ordinated by the PSNI District Policing Partnership.One of three young people chosen to represent Downpatrick, Darrol was representing the Patrician Youth Club in this province wide initiative. Darrol met with other representatives of different groups between November 2009 and July 2010 at various locations including Tollymore Adventure Centre and the Eddie Irvine Centre, taking part in various workshops and discussion groups . Darrol received his Certificate from NI Assembly’s Justice Minister, David Forde, at an official Assembly reception in Stormont, followed by a guided tour of Parliament Buildings.

| Lewis Patmore played brilliantly at the recent Mary Peters Trust event leading the competition for most of the day with 40 points, finishing 5th. However he did win a prize for the best overall back 9 holes which was presented by Dame Mary Peters. He is certainly playing well - winner in the Rockmount men’s competition out of 175 people and then 5th place of 150 entries at the Mary Peter’s event in which he was the only juvenile. Lewis has now cut his handicap to 10! |

Congratulations to Erin Wilkinson, and Tango, who won 1st place in both the 90cm & 1metre jumping class at the Summer League Finals in September. The final time trial was over 16 fences involving the top 15 riders from the competition. Well done to both! |
